“My artistic journey is fundamentally about being someone who is excited by colour and loves to paint.
I am lucky to live by the river and the sea and with that it puts me right in my happy space and from those environments, gives a real start with my artwork. Walking on the Geographe Bay or the Attadale foreshore each morning is a real meditation and a great way to fire up the creative images in my mind. I love the blues of water and the yellow of the sun and they seem to be the go-to colours of many of my artwork. I prefer to work with acrylic paint, and I usually work on several canvases simultaneously. I work that way as it gives me a sense of freedom and looseness with my mark making and brush strokes.
My personal ritual of starting any painting is to focus of the canvas, blank or underpainted, sitting meditating with a view of that surface, I make initial choice of colours, laden with colour I let the brush work around the canvas bringing form to life. I paint in several different styles, mark making, blended colour fields, modern abstract landscape, modern abstract seascapes and organic colour formations.
In my Found and Sorted Exhibition 2025, I have chosen a display of artwork bursting with bright colourful happy summer vibe along with a few of my abstract landscapes where colour meets form. Along with art colleague, Lance Whiteman, we are bringing in the Summer.

“I have been up cycling, old and damaged surfboards for the last ten years, giving them a new life as works of art. During this time, I have developed my own unique graphic painting style, that expresses my personal passion for beach culture in all its forms.
I have enjoyed the ocean’s beauty and energy through surfing, sailing, windsurfing. and now stand-up paddle boarding. It is through this love of art and ocean, that I express this connection in my developing art practice. The designs use acrylic paint pens (POSCA and Molotov), finished with a UV resistant clear coat. During this creative journey, some years were spent back in New Zealand, with artworks, being sold not just locally, but to visitors from California, Hawaii, Oregon, England, Switzerland and Western Australia.
More recently with my return to WA at the end of 2021 and in parallel with my board artworks, I have transferred my graphic style to canvas as well. These painting have not just sold locally but sent to England and Japan. My work continues to evolve, develop and morph as time goes on.”

NIGEL GAUNT
Nigel Gaunt’s introduction to Photography was when his father gave him an liford Sporti camera for his 8th birthday.
He was 18 when he commenced his Diploma in Advertising and Fashion Photography at Medway College of Art and Design in Rochester Kent, UK. In 1982 aged 27, Nigel came to Australia for a holiday and never went back!
Nigel set up Red Dirt Photography in 2002 in Broome, which specialised in Landscape Photography and Photographic Tours of the Kimberley. He opened his Photographic Gallery there in 2007. Living in Broome allowed him to continue to chase the wild light that makes the red pindan soil explode into colour and transforms the landscape into an amazing palette for photography. Nigel is now residing in Fremantle returning to the studio is the full circle in his photographic journey, bringing with him the colour, texture and light he experienced in the Kimberley.

ANNA DONALD
A love of the Australian landscape has inspired Anna to try to capture something of its various forms. She’s fortunate in that she has travelled widely across our country and now harbours images and memories that she draws on for inspiration.
Anna uses a range of mediums to recreate representations of Australia’s natural environment, its oceans, forests, deserts and mountains.
Anna most often uses acrylics, oils, and watercolours. More recently, Encaustic, the “creative arson” of oil, beeswax and heat, has provided her with a satisfying exploration of this historically ancient medium.

KEITH FRAZER
“20-24”
An exhibit of paintings by Keith Frazer Spanning the years of 2020 to 2024 .
About this collection.. Since my earliest of memories I have in one form or another even through my working and family rearing years have had a pencil, pen, crayon or brush in hand. Since 2019 I have been unable to work (a blessing in disguise). Time to devote time to a great passion of mine, time to paint, not homes or buildings but paintings.
My main medium is acrylic paints on canvas, until recently A4 in size. I enjoyed ‘en plien air’ landscapes, nature
etc, then covid hit. Bound to the home I began to experiment more (another blessing in disguise). The recent larger canvas pieces a result of my daughters request (a 3rd blessing). And here we are.
I hope you enjoy the viewing, contact me during weekdays if you would like to discuss any of the work.

TERESA VIMINI
TERESA VIMINI Bachelor of Arts [Visual Arts]
These digital prints are created firstly as pencil drawings on A3 paper. They are scanned into graphic image editing software as works in progress. I then use the digital medium of computer graphic software like I would use paint. I push it around, paint bucket areas, draw and scratch into the surface, remove or add lines and leave visual reminders of the decisions made and the process. I like the immediacy and flexibility of the software and the array of tools and colour palettes which are not available in traditional drawing methods.
The images are inspired by popular culture. Music, my background in textiles and fashion, my love of dance and movement. The black and white works are part of an ongoing series of work which started with The Head Series and The Urban Guru exhibitions. The coloured women images are a new series of colour works in progress.
